TITLE: A.J. Brown Trade Rumors Heat Up: New England, Chargers, and Titans Among Top Suitors
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown remains at the center of trade speculation despite head coach Nick Sirianni and general manager Howie Roseman both insisting that “Nothing’s changed there. A.J.’s an Eagle.” The Eagles face a $43.4 million dead-money hit in 2026 if they trade Brown before June 1, but a post-June 1 deal would reduce that figure to $16.4 million. As the trade market heats up, several teams are positioning themselves to land the Pro Bowl receiver.
The New England Patriots are among the most vocal contenders for Brown. The team released Stefon Diggs and signed Romeo Doubs, whose career high is 724 receiving yards in a season, leaving New England with one of the weakest receiver rooms in the league. Brown would immediately become the Patriots’ No. 1 wideout and could be their most legitimate “X” receiver since Randy Moss. The Patriots would offer a 2026 first-round pick (No. 31), a 2026 fourth-rounder, and WR Kayshon Boutte in return.
Los Angeles Chargers general manager Tom Telesco is also reportedly in the mix. The Chargers drafted Tre Harris (No. 55 in 2025), Ladd McConkey (No. 34 in 2024), and Quentin Johnston (No. 21 in 2023), but none of those players exceeded 800 receiving yards in 2025. Johnston is also entering the final year of his rookie contract, with the team needing to decide by May 1 whether to pick up his $18 million fifth-year option. The Chargers would offer a 2026 first-rounder (No. 22) and Johnston in exchange for Brown and a 2027 fourth-rounder.
The Tennessee Titans could also be a surprise destination. GM Mike Borgonzi is looking to give second-year quarterback Cam Ward a reliable WR1, similar to how Stefon Diggs helped Josh Allen and A.J. Brown helped Jalen Hurts. The Titans have the most salary cap space in the league at $63.2 million and could absorb Brown’s contract. They would offer a 2026 second-rounder (No. 35) and a 2027 first-rounder in return for Brown and a 2026 fifth-rounder.
The Las Vegas Raiders are another intriguing option. The team is building around rookie QB Fernando Mendoza, who is expected to be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 draft. Mendoza would benefit from having a proven wideout like Brown in Year 1. The Raiders would trade edge rusher Maxx Crosby and a 2026 third-rounder (No. 67) for Brown and the 23rd overall pick.
With the trade deadline approaching, all eyes will be on Howie Roseman and the Eagles’ decision. Teams are lining up to offer enticing packages, and the final move could come before or after the June 1 cap relief cutoff. What remains clear is that A.J. Brown is one of the most valuable trade assets in the NFL — and the right team could unlock his full potential.
