Nikola Jokić led the way as the Fantasy MVP, Victor Wembanyama dominated the boards for Defensive Player of the Year, and rookie Kon Knueppel stole the show with a record-breaking season.
Nikola Jokić once again proved why he’s the gold standard in fantasy basketball. The Denver Nuggets center averaged 27.9 points, 12.9 rebounds, and 10.9 assists per game over 62 contests. His second consecutive triple-double season made him the clear winner of the Fantasy MVP award. Despite playing fewer games than usual, Jokić’s volume and efficiency made him a top-2 pick in most leagues.
Victor Wembanyama took home Defensive Player of the Year honors. The San Antonio Spurs star averaged 3.1 blocks and 1.0 steals per game, even while playing just 29 minutes a night. No other player averaged more than 1.8 blocks, making Wembanyama a fantasy category killer. His ability to impact the stat sheet in limited minutes made him one of the most valuable defensive assets in the league.
Kon Knueppel won Rookie of the Year after making NBA history. The Charlotte Hornets guard set the league record for most 3-pointers made by a rookie with 233. He also led the Hornets in 3-pointers made in a single season and played in 78 games, the most of any rookie. Knueppel’s efficiency was unmatched, shooting 48.1% from the field and 43.0% from deep.

Ryan Rollins was named Waiver Wire Add of the Year. After stepping in for an injured Kevin Porter Jr., the Milwaukee Bucks guard became a fantasy steal. Rollins averaged 17.2 points, 5.6 assists, and 2.5 3-pointers over 73 games. His 47.3% shooting and 40.9% from beyond the arc made him a reliable plug-and-play option for managers who took a chance.

Keyonte George earned Most Improved Player of the Year. The Utah Jazz point guard shot 45.6% from the field, a jump from 39.1% in his first two seasons. George averaged 23.6 points, 6.1 assists, and 2.5 3-pointers. His production helped Utah trade for Jaren Jackson Jr. and position itself for a playoff run next season.
With the 2025-26 season in the books, fantasy managers now turn their eyes to the 2026-27 draft. The top rookie class in years is set to debut, and several breakout stars could be waiting on the waiver wire.

The San Antonio Spurs edged the Dallas Mavericks 114-109 on Friday night, but the story was not the win. It was Victor Wembanyama’s 40-point, 13-rebound performance in just 26 minutes, a calculated move to reach the 65-game threshold required for regular-season award eligibility.
