Chelsea Gray is staying in Vegas. The Las Vegas Aces have officially re-signed the six-time All-Star guard to a three-year, $3 million fully guaranteed contract. Gray returns to a team she helped reach the WNBA Finals in each of the past two seasons and win the 2025 title.
Gray played a pivotal role in the Aces’ 2025 championship run, averaging 11.2 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per game. Her leadership and playmaking ability were instrumental in securing Las Vegas’ third title in four years. She was also named MVP of the 2022 WNBA Finals, highlighting her clutch performances in high-stakes games.
The three-year deal gives the Aces stability at the guard position. At $1 million per season, the contract is a bargain for a player of Gray’s caliber. Her salary also allows the Aces to maintain flexibility under the WNBA’s salary cap, which is expected to remain tight in the 2026 season.
Gray was the 11th overall pick in the 2014 WNBA Draft out of Duke and has since become one of the league’s most consistent and respected guards. She has made the All-Star team six times and is known for her court vision and ability to elevate her teammates.
With Gray back, the Aces enter 2026 with a core that includes two-time MVP A’ja Wilson and guard Kelsey Plum. The trio gives Las Vegas one of the most balanced and experienced rosters in the league.
The Aces open the 2026 regular season on May 17 against the Seattle Storm. Fans will be eager to see if the team can defend its title and continue the dominance that has defined the franchise in recent years.

The San Antonio Spurs edged the Dallas Mavericks 114-109 on Friday night, but the story was not the win. It was Victor Wembanyama’s 40-point, 13-rebound performance in just 26 minutes, a calculated move to reach the 65-game threshold required for regular-season award eligibility.
