The NFL is heating up with key visits and personnel moves as teams prepare for the 2024 season. Among the most notable developments is Cincinnati Bengals' pursuit of outside linebacker Rueben Bain Jr. of Miami, as well as the widespread interest in Texas A&M offensive lineman Chase Bisontis, who is set to meet with multiple teams this week. With free agency and the draft on the horizon, these visits could shape rosters across the league.
Miami’s Rueben Bain Jr. is in Cincinnati for a visit with the Bengals, according to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport. A standout at Miami, Bain Jr. recorded 47 tackles and 5.5 sacks in 2023. His versatility on the edge makes him a valuable addition in a defensive scheme that relies on speed and pressure. Meanwhile, Texas Tech’s Jacob Rodriguez is also in town for a Bengals visit, adding depth to the team’s linebacker corps.
Chase Bisontis is the most in-demand player in this week’s wave of visits. The Texas A&M offensive tackle is scheduled to meet with the Atlanta Falcons, Los Angeles Chargers, Miami Dolphins, New York Giants, and Philadelphia Eagles. That’s five teams in three days, a sign of the high demand for interior linemen in this year’s draft class. Bisontis started 37 games for the Aggies and was named to the All-Big 12 second team in 2023.
The New England Patriots are also making waves in the coaching and prospect departments. They’ve hired former Giants defensive coordinator Shane Bowen as a defensive analyst, per Rapoport. On the player front, quarterback Jalon Daniels of Kansas is on a visit in New England, while Auburn guard Jeremiah Wright is set to meet with the team on Friday.
Free agency is also stirring the waters. The Indianapolis Colts and cornerback Kenny Moore have agreed to part ways, per ESPN. Moore, who played in 16 games last season with three interceptions, is now a free agent and could find a new home before the start of training camp.
The Washington Commanders are keeping WR Omar Cooper Jr. busy, with the Indiana product visiting Friday. Cooper has already had five visits and has four more scheduled after the Commanders. On the other side of the country, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are signing DL Haggai Ndubuisi, CB Kemon Hall, and CB Chase Lucas to bolster their depth.
With the draft just weeks away, these visits and signings are shaping the landscape of the league. Teams will continue to evaluate prospects and finalize their rosters ahead of the May 7-9 draft.

The San Antonio Spurs edged the Dallas Mavericks 114-109 on Friday night, but the story was not the win. It was Victor Wembanyama’s 40-point, 13-rebound performance in just 26 minutes, a calculated move to reach the 65-game threshold required for regular-season award eligibility.
