Golden Knights Edge Hurricanes in OT, Series Tied at Two in 2026 Stanley Cup Final

Connor McDavid was named the recipient of the Ted Lindsay Award for the fifth time in his career, a distinction previously held only by Wayne Gretzky. Jaccob Slavin and Pavel Dorofeyev are two players making their first Stanley Cup Final appearances. Slavin, a two-time Lady Byng Trophy winner, has already recorded two points in the series. He is one of only four defensemen to win Olympic gold and a Stanley Cup in the same season. Dorofeyev, meanwhile, has five game-tying goals in the 2026 playoffs and is just three goals away from becoming the second Golden Knights player to reach 50 in a single season.

The 2026 Final is also shaping up as one of the most dramatic in recent memory. The Hurricanes erased a four-goal deficit in Game 3, becoming only the second team in Stanley Cup Final history to do so.
