Bridgeport defeated the Hartford Wolf Pack 4-1 in its final regular-season home game, clinching a 2026 Calder Cup Playoff berth and setting a franchise record with a 10-game home winning streak.
The Islanders controlled the game after an early deficit, outscoring the Wolf Pack 4-1 and improving to 21-3-2 at home this season. The victory also marked the team’s 11th playoff appearance in franchise history and its first since the 2021-22 season.
Hartford opened the scoring just 1:13 into the game when Bryce McConnell-Barker tallied his 13th goal of the season on a two-on-one rush. Bridgeport responded with a power-play goal from Matthew Maggio at 7:19 to tie the game. Maggio, who leads the team in goals with 30, was left unguarded in the slot and beat goaltender Spencer Martin.
Ethan Bear put the Islanders ahead for good at 12:31 with his fourth goal of the season, a wrister from the blue line that found the back of the net. Bridgeport’s special teams continued to shine in the second period when Adam Beckman scored a short-handed goal on a breakaway after stealing the puck from a Hartford defender. Beckman, who leads the team in scoring with 67 points, extended his season total to 28 goals.
Chris Terry added an insurance goal in the third period, scoring from the slot at 15:48 to make it 4-1. The goal moved Terry past all-time Bridgeport franchise point leaders, giving him 234 points through 302 games.

The Islanders are now 40-18-6 on the season and sit in fourth place in the Atlantic Division. If they maintain their position, it will be their highest seed since the 2018-19 season, when they finished second in the division.
Bridgeport will play its final three regular-season games on the road, beginning with a matchup against the Laval Rocket on Thursday. The Islanders aim to secure the No. 4 seed heading into the playoffs.
